SinChats – Sintax77 on the ‘Hang Your Own Hang’ Podcast

I recently had the opportunity to do an appearance on a relatively new podcast geared towards those of use who prefer to sleep above the ground.  About a month or two ago, the hosts, Jonathan and Mark, sent me an invite to do an in person recording while Jonathan was not to far from my hometown on business.  In the time since, I’ve actually listened to all of their podcasts so far and have been enjoying the opportunity to listen to an outdoors podcast that really focuses on hammock camping specifically.

So far, they’ve had some pretty cool guest from the hammock camping industry / scene, including Tom Hennessey, Dutch from Dutchware Gear, Shug Emery, and Derek Hanson.  From talking to Jonathan, it sounds like they’ve got even more interesting guests lined up for the rest of 2016, so it should make for some good listening in the future.  Hopefully my appearance doesn’t pull that curve down too far  😉

For the SinChats video, I take a little trip down memory lane of the various talk radio shows and podcasts that I’ve enjoyed and been influenced by over the years, along with a discussion of camping and backpacking specific podcasts that are available out on the internet.  So, what are your favorite outdoor, camping, or backpacking podcasts?

Visit the official Hang Your Own Hang Podcast website to stream or download the episode.

Where to watch the new ‘Go Time Camp 2015’ Video – PA Buck Season

Check out the 2015 Go Time Camp video on WhiteRook85’s channel for another year of PA Buck Season at the hunting camp!

For this years annual installment or hunt camp shenanigans, we decided to both film and a post single collaboration video over at my dad’s WhiteRook85 channel. Of course, my dad actually did all the editing so, he really did all the hard work. I had the easy task of walking around with a camera for some of the footage, but I like to call it a “collaboration” to make myself feel special.

SinChats – Choose which Feature Length Camping Video I do Next!

With my current feature length trip video nearing completion, I turn to you, the viewer for help choosing my next project.

The bulk of the work for my canoe camping trip video is done, and it should be released soon, following some final post-production tasks. This leaves me to choose from 3 different trips to edit next, all of which are already filmed and ready to go:

  1. A spring overnight trip with Sara and I in the Shenandoahs.
  2. A guys trip in New Hampshire doing a counter-clockwise Pemi Loop with our first-time backpacking friend.
  3. My annual Firefly Music Festival Camping video.

Soooooo, what’s it gonna be?

SinChats – Favorite Backpacking Season?

Debating and discussing a classic question – what’s the best backpacking season?

Fresh off a fun, hot, and humid trip to Kentucky’s Red River Gorge, I’m inspired by a nagging little question: what’s the best season for backpacking and camping? In this video I try to find my own opinion, but more importantly, what’s yours?
